Borek 2027 – 50 years of outdoor living, a new chapter in design

2027 is a special year for Borek. The brand is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is presenting a collection that brings together nearly five decades of experience with innovative designs and surprising uses of materials. Organic shapes, distinctive wickerwork and rich textures give the new collection its own distinctive character. A new generation of outdoor furniture, offering the quality and comfort that Borek has stood for since 1977.

Traditional woven patterns, surprising designs

A real eye-catcher in the 2027 collection is Treccia, designed by Rolan Cornelissen. The wide, geometric plaited pattern is crafted by hand, combining traditional craftsmanship with refined design. This distinctive plaited structure gives the collection a distinctive character. Treccia comprises various modular lounge elements, including a spacious sofa, a lounge armchair, a pouffe and a comfortable lounger. The combination of white-taupe rope, salix-coloured aluminium and soft cushions in dune creates a calm, luxurious look.

With Nodo, Rolan Cornelissen introduces a striking open weave pattern. The dining and lounge chairs have an airy, contemporary look. The new Livorno collection from Studio Borek is characterised by a rounded design, sleek lines and subtle belt details. The range comprises dining and low dining chairs, with the low dining chair also serving perfectly as a compact lounge chair. Livorno thus offers plenty of options for a stylish outdoor space.

Kawa, designed by the Italian design duo Meneghello & Paolelli from Milan, also offers a unique combination of materials and forms. Their distinctive design style, which blends innovation and refinement, is clearly reflected in the collection. The refined woven structure provides a lovely contrast to the generous, soft seating surfaces. Thanks to the various modules, a wide range of lounge configurations is possible.

Organic shapes and new textures
Alongside innovative woven structures, soft, organic lines form an important starting point for 2027. Particularly striking are the new designs in the warm colour wenge, fully upholstered with a robust, traditionally crocheted texture. This established technique is given a fresh application, with the rich texture and distinctive use of materials lending the furniture a contemporary character. A surprising interplay of form, texture and design.

The new Suza and Onda swivel armchairs are a fine example of this. Their rounded silhouettes and comfortable design make them real eye-catchers. The Caleta dining benches, available in various sizes, also reflect this innovative design language.
